NBC App now has full episodes

I have been waiting a long time for NBC episodes to be available somewhere other than Hulu Plus.  Well just recently NBC updated their app to include full episodes of most of their shows.  The app is free.  Right now I am unsure how soon episodes will be be available after they air.  The shows will include adds like other network's apps.  The adds don't seem to be to intrusive from what I can see.  The app also include games, photos, schedule.  You can sign into your myNBC account and save your favorite shows.  The interface is easy to move around and I am generally enjoying the app.  So if you want to watch some Office or Saturday Night Live go pick up this app.

Downcast - iPad podcast downloader App Review

I have been hooked on podcasts since the first time I listened to them.  I got to say my 2 hour commute home to work and back would be even worse with out them.  But I hate connecting my iOS device just to sync up the new podcast episodes.  This is where Downcast comes in.

Downcast is a full featured podcast catcher and player.  You can sync, download, and stream right from this one application.  Now that would be good on its own but you can customize Downcast till you get this thing humming exactly like you want.  You can set when to sync, how often, and to download or stream.  When you are ready to play the video or audio podcast you have options to play at different speeds, skip forward and backwards.  This app does everything and more you want out of a pod catcher.  To add feeds you can do a search or look through the extensive catalog.  You can also import or just add the feeds manually.

I have Downcast set up mostly for video on my iPad.  But I have a problem with space on my iPad; this is not a problem because you can stream over wifi or 3g.  Also if you know you're going to be somewhere without a connection you can download the episode you want.

If you cant tell I love this app.  It is one of the few apps I use every day on my iPad.  I had tired other apps but none came close to the options you have in Downcast in my opinion.  I would highly recommend this application.  At $1.99 you will be streaming all the video and audio you can imagine.

Woo Hoo cheaper iPads 2 now available!

Apple.com is now offering factory refurbished iPad 2’s.
Right now the factory refurbished iPad 2’s are around $50 less than new.  This isn't bad but if you want cheaper check out the original iPads.
If you are like me you are always looking to save an extra few bucks (or save them until you hit the app store) this is a wonderful way.
